Digital Civil Rights in Europe
"European Digital Rights (EDRI) was founded in June 2002. Currently 17 privacy and civil rights organisations from 11 different countries in Europe have EDRI membership. Members of European Digital Rights have joined forces to defend civil rights in the information society. The need for cooperation among European organizations is increasing as more regulation regarding the internet, copyright and privacy is originating from the European Union."
Floatleft's Contribution
EDRI asked us to update their web site, which they use for publishing their bi-weekly newsletter, news articles and campaigns dealing with digital civil rights in Europe. They needed a more flexible and robust content management system, and also wanted an update to the site design and navigation. Our solution includes a simple and creative navigation and archive system for the newsletters, and a bright new design and logo for the organization. Content on the site is now categorized and users can navigate by "Issue" to find relevant articles.
Project Highlights
- easy publication, navigation and archive of the EDRI-gram bi-monthly newsletter
- provides integration with online mailing list subscription to EDRI-gram newsletter
- allows for easy creation of new categories and menu items for published articles
- other site improvements include: search, friendly URLs and RSS syndication
